Customizability
Many plywood and OSB manufacturers manufacture special panel sizes and thicknesses for particular applications. Manufacturers are also often willing to customize panels as needed. Panels manufactured specifically for use in industrial markets often use the sanding process to meet more stringent thickness tolerances than found in the manufacturing standards. For more information on thickness tolerances, see section 5.10.2 of the Voluntary Product Standard PS 1-95 for Construction and Industrial Plywood, Form V995.
